定安公主下葬的礼仪之争

唐朝时,有一位公主生前嫁过三次,死后不知该和哪任丈夫合葬,为此急坏了唐玄宗李隆基。

她就是定安公主,唐中宗李显的第三女(庶出),嫡母韦皇后。定安公主在武则天时期被封为新宁郡主,后来改为定安郡主,嫁给南陈驸马都尉王宽的曾孙王同皎。王同皎是神龙政变拥护中宗复位的功臣。中宗复位后,王同皎被中宗封为右千牛将军、琅琊郡公。定安郡主也被升为定安公主。

中宗复位后,韦皇后勾结武三思、安乐公主、上官婉儿把持朝政大权。王同皎作为驸马不想政权落入外戚之手,对韦皇后和武三思的专权行为十分愤怒,便有除掉武三思的想法。公元706年,他和张仲之、祖延庆、周憬、李悛、冉祖雍等人在家中策划,趁为武则天送葬时,埋伏弓箭手射杀武三思。

但这一消息却被宋氏兄弟(宋之间、宋之逊)听到,宋氏兄弟曾投靠武则天男宠张氏兄弟。张氏兄弟在神龙政变被杀后,又投靠了王同皎。宋氏兄弟本来就是墙头草,见韦皇后和武三思得势,很想巴结,便将这一消息告诉了武三思。之前一起谋划除掉武三思的冉祖雍也向武三思告密。武三思便在中宗面前诬陷王同皎,说:“王同皎不光想杀我,还想杀韦皇后!”

中宗信以为真,处死了王同皎,定安公主也成了寡妇。但皇帝的女儿不愁嫁,王同姣刚死没多久,韦皇后又将定安公主嫁给了韦濯。韦濯是韦皇后的从祖弟,是定安公主的堂舅(无血缘关系),名副其实的政治婚姻。婚后,定安公主为韦濯生下一子韦会。

唐中宗李显主政的时候,他的诸多女儿们多是一些不省油的主儿,对待婚姻如同儿戏,为所欲为,私生活荒淫糜烂。当然这与她们的爹中宗的懦弱和教育有关,但是中宗一生都生活在母亲武则天的淫威之下,战战兢兢,几起几落,哪有心思和时间搞好早期家庭教育?

这些公主们生活在后武则天时代,她们的祖母则天女皇和高她们一辈的庶母上官婉儿和韦皇后也都是一些风流成性,惯养小白脸,雌性荷尔蒙分泌过剩的主儿。公主们耳濡目染,想做个端庄贤淑的大家闺秀也难,再加上唐朝社会思想自由,风气开化,这些公主们哪还有什么禁忌?唐中宗李显的女儿国里,至少四女儿长宁公主,七女儿安乐公主,以及八女儿成安公主都是先后嫁过两个男人的,更离奇的是三女儿定安公主一生竟然嫁过三个男人,这不,掀起玄宗朝轩然大波的这场闹剧就是由这位姑奶奶引起的。

定安公主先后嫁过三位男子做丈夫,这第一个叫做王同皎,官拜朝散大夫,因迎立中宗即位立过大功,但这位爷生性耿直,做人又老实,根本不是定安公主心里蠢蠢欲动,梦里风度翩翩的情郎。后来王同皎暗中蓄养勇士,想趁武则天灵柩入殓之时劫杀权倾朝野的武三思,不幸被人告发,忠直勇猛的王同皎出师未捷身先死,定安公主第一次守寡。不过定安公主并不难过。相反还有点庆幸,这样一来,她可以心无旁骛由着性子胡来,天上人间春风几度的日子没过多久,定安公主迎来了她人生中的第二次婚姻。

 

她的第二任丈夫叫做韦擢,是韦皇后的同宗亲戚,论起来名义上算作是定安公主的堂舅。很明显,这是野心极大的韦皇后亲自安排的一场政治婚姻,心灵最隐秘的窗户已打开的定安公主如何能爱得上木瓜一样的韦擢?甚至让曾经短暂在美男中流连忘返的定安公主很是恼火,但嫩胳膊拧不过韦家强势而为的大腿,定安公主只能虚与委蛇。好在这韦哥们儿也是一个短命的鬼,韦后恃宠专权,骄恣专横,公元710年,李隆基发动唐隆政变,率军冲人内宫,杀死韦皇后、安乐公主、上官婉儿。韦氏一族被灭,韦濯也牵连其中,定安公主再一次成了寡妇。

被放出婚姻牢笼的定安公主焕发了人生第三春,虽然已经徐娘半老,容颜不再,然而喜欢美少年的风流心思却变得更加迫切。她和她的妹妹史上最为放荡的皇家女子之一安乐公主争风吃醋,同时爱上了美姿仪,又擅长音乐和诗书的崔浞。崔浞太火爆也太抢手了,经常被那些权势熏天的贵妇人藏于家中,定安公主众里寻他千百度,总是找不见踪迹,后来定安公主在贵族沙龙中不经意间碰见了崔浞的弟弟崔铣,发现崔小二既年轻又会事,还会时不时地做害羞状,定安公主心痒难禁,情不自禁地陷入了情网,说什么也要嫁给小崔,于是崔小二崔铣摇身一变就成了定安公主第三任丈夫。

可惜自忖找到真爱的定安公主好花不常开,好事不长在,或许是老妻少夫由着性子逞能,或许是因为乐极生悲,定安公主与她的少年郎君生活了不到五年的时间,一声充满无限幽怨的“撒油啦啦”,生病死掉了。本来一个公主死掉了,千万个公主站起来,也没有什么大不了的事,何况是一生陷于纷争之中的定安公主?可是定安公主之死却在朝廷下葬的礼仪之争中掀起了巨大争议。

一切皆源于定安公主一生有三个丈夫,那么究竟定安公主该与谁合葬在一起比较妥当呢?总不至于让风流成性的定安公主一个人孤零零的入土落葬吧?这也太没人性了。

此时,定安公主与第一任丈夫王同皎所生的儿子王繇认为母亲应与自己父亲合葬,玄宗也同意了他的要求。

王繇听后,火冒三丈,向玄宗告状。崔铣也不服,也去找玄宗评理。双方一直争执不休,玄宗一时也拿不定主意,让大臣们来讨论此事。很多大臣都觉得夏侯锸说话虽然刻薄,却很有道理。玄宗最后让定安公主与崔铣合葬,陪葬定陵。由于王家没有争到合葬权非常记恨夏侯锸,玄宗为显公平,把夏侯铦贬为泸州都督,算是为王家出了气。
